Hey Marilyn!

LOL...yeah, the name Kitty can be misleading.

Thanks for the good vibes, I need them more than ever. After 10 days at the repair shop, the computer is STILL not working well. I'd say it's even WORSE...but will restrain from being that negative. :-)

Can't wait to read about your toys, ma belle amie.

Hugs and LOVE...always xoxo

Saw the first photo and thought Dang, that's a BIG cat ... had a good laugh when I scrolled to the next one and saw it was a dog! You've given me inspiration to write about what I had for toys as a kid. It will make you laugh. I will keep you posted.

Good vibes coming your way for the iMac.. I looooove mine! Hope it's quick!

Hi Rachel!

Welcome...pleased to see you in my little corner of the net. :-)

Your story is so very touching -- sorry you lost Woo, it sure sounds like you two had a beautiful relationship. And yes, you're right...your mom must feel the void as she was used to having her around. I know I still see my Daisy, now and then, for a split second, and it always brings up a few tears. But then I smile, because she was such a happy dog!

Thanks for sharing your story...very sweet.

Big hugs and lots of LOVE,
Mudd / Oza
xoxo

Not when I was a toddler but I did have a lovely dog when I was 10-16. We got her from the pound and she was originally my step-dad's but we traded Shar-Pei pups for Woo. She was a shar-pei rodesian ridgeback mix and she was gorgeous! I love her to death. She had such an amazing personality. When I would cry she would run over to me and start licking away the tears. She was so sweet. She acted like a cat or at least a lap dog. She was 60 lbs, a medium sized dog, and when you sat on the couch she would jump up and lay down on her back in your lap demanding belly rubs. In 2007 she passed away from a tumor in her lungs :( It was devastating to my mom (it didn't hit me until earlier this year) because my mom doesn't work so she's at home all day with the animals while I was at school. Woo was her best bud. I still miss her to death sometimes but she's in doggy heaven where she's chasing cats and ducks, wading in the pond, and running free without worrying about cutting her paw pads. I'm almost teary eyed typing this but she brought SO MUCH joy to our life and she lived a good life too.

Now we just have three cats with huge personalities.

Hey Sweet Beautiful Wonderful Tracey!

Yes...changing the meaning of an event: it depends what lens you're looking through. There's the lens of pain, there's the lens of denial, there's the lens of victimization...etc. etc. etc.

Then there's the lens of love. Which you start by turning towards yourself before you turn and face the world.

All of a sudden, Elton John comes to mind... :D

LOVE the name of your cat. You crack me up! And the way you write...priceless. Hope everyone checks out your blog.

Sending your mum a great big hug.

And hugs and love to YOU xoxo

Hi Oza,

Isn't it funny how we can change the meaning of an event, simply by choosing to? (Of course, it has to be the right time for that choice, IMO). Your story reminds me of my mum, who didn't walk until she was two. The one baby photo she has shows a very plump little girl dressed in her older brother's hand-me-downs, just sitting and seemingly contemplating the world. That sitting was to become a trend, until she decided life was too short not to get moving, get dancing, get laughing. I wish you could of met her, you'd have gotten along so very well! Thanks for sharing your story, and I look forward to more.

P.S. Yes, I had a very special friend as I grew up. My cat Tikki Tikki Tembo Narso Rembo Charli Bari Roochi Pip Perry Pembo (Tikki for short) moved in when I was 8 and died when I was 23. She saw me through my parent's breakup, my tumultuous teens, through marriage and the birth of my eldest son, right through to the purchase of our first home. She was a constant in a changing world. How I miss her!

Hi Tina!

Thanks for dropping by...especially as I know you're very busy these days.

That's cool about getting along with your brother and even being best friends. You must share some great memories together, huh? Childhood can be soooo magical, and when you've got a best buddy to explore and make believe with, then life is absolutely fabulous!

Hugs and love...and keep on beading! :-)

Such a heart warming story :) I can't say that I had a special friend like you did as a toddler, however my brother came along when I was 4 and once he was old enough we'd play a lot together & become close friends. We moved around a lot when we were young, so we ended up only playing with each other as we didn't know many kids around us.
